What Makes a Good Label Design?

When out grocery shopping, the first things you are bound to pick up are the bottles or containers with the most aesthetically pleasing labels. Anything flashier, brighter, more colorful and informative than the other labels on bottles sitting next to it will get the label and ultimately the product noticed. So, when you can look at a label at one glance and know this is what you should be buying, the label design team has justified its pay! If you are looking for less fattening or sugar free packaged foods, a blurb on the label mentioning "sugar free" or "0% Trans Fat" definitely beckons.

Harmonizing or clashing and contrasting colors may be visually calming to some or simply cause an undesirable vibration for some of us.
